Membership
Who can be a member?
Any person or organization that is committed to the use of audio and radio to effect a positive change in our society with regards to HIV and AIDS can become a member of the AIDSChannel.
Members include:
- Â Broadcasters: international and local broadcaster networks; radio stations - large and small, commercial and community, private and state. Also independent producers and production houses.
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs): non-profit organizations who work in the human rights and development field that use or produce audio as part of their public campaign work. Includes health organizations, advocacy organizations, distance learning institutions, and many other fields. It also includes organisations who support the sector, such as funders, advisors, consultants etc.
- Individuals, academics, and researchers: includes a wide range of experts who are working in the field of 'radio for change'.
- Trainers and training organizations. Those who assist broadcasters in using radio to the best of their ability are an important part of OneWorld Radio. We welcome individuals who offer training, training organizations and regional, or international training bodies.
Is this an exclusive network of people and organisations?
The channel is primarily for those whishing to combine content and 'radio for development' who happen to be broadcasters - or anyone using, or thinking of using, audio in their human rights work. However, anyone can browse the site and listen to audio produced by the OneWorld Radio members.
Is there a membership fee?
No. Membership is free.
How do I join?
Click on join in the Our Community section of the website, then read and agree to the membership agreements, and fill out the joining form. We will contact you when your membership has been processed.
